Another week of steady, behind-the-scenes progress at the Department of Government Efficiency as the mission to cut waste and modernize government continues.
The official @DOGE account remained quiet, and the cumulative savings figure on doge.gov still stands at $215 billion — roughly $1,335 per taxpayer. No major new contract terminations or grant cancellations were posted in the last week.
On the tech and modernization front, the @USDS (United States DOGE Service) team stayed active with practical improvements:
- On April 20 they announced they’re helping build a shared system backed by real data and APIs to simplify Medicaid eligibility across states, so people get coverage faster without bureaucratic delays.
- On April 21 they posted “STRONGER SYSTEMS FOR A STRONGER AMERICA 🇺🇸” highlighting ongoing infrastructure upgrades.
- Continuing work on patient apps, AI navigation on Medicare.gov, faster veteran care, and eliminating outdated paper processes.
There are two angles and ways to bring our society into an age of amazing abundance. DOGE is doing a good job of working to create more efficient computerized systems for the federal government and updating websites from antiquated-looking into the modern.
The second way we are accelerating towards an age of amazing abundance is through artificial intelligence and robotics — and with that I am talking about real-world cases of manufacturing and service jobs being replaced by robotics so that goods and services will be so incredibly plentiful that they will be available to everybody. This leads us into the conversation about universal high income.
Elon Musk recently stated:
“Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.”
By that he means that every single person, likely throughout the whole world, should have their government giving them a universal high income check to spend every month — otherwise the price of goods and services would almost have to be free for anybody to buy them, because when people don’t have jobs and they get displaced out of their jobs by real-world robotics and AI, the only way they can have money to spend is through government payments.
The momentum is real, the team is executing, and every day we get closer to a leaner, more accountable government that actually serves the American people — keep pushing forward! 🚀
