Imagine your US government transformed—streamlined, transparent, and accountable, thanks to Elon Musk’s unparalleled leadership. In Week 15 (April 28–29, 2025), the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) saved $4,065M and slashed borrowing needs by $53B, a testament to Musk’s vision as his intense DC role is slowing to 2 days/week. With $160B saved toward a $1T goal, we owe Elon a profound debt of gratitude for redefining governance. Here’s how Days 98–99 reshaped America’s future.
April 28, 2025 – Day 98: DOGE Strikes at Fraud and Election Abuse
On Day 98, @DOGE communicated four updates, saying goodbye to waste and safeguarding your democracy:
- Election Integrity Upheld: “Only American Citizens can vote in American Elections. Thanks to our partnership with DOGE, this DOJ has charged an Iraqi man for illegal voting in the 2020 election. If you are a foreign national and vote in our elections—you will be prosecuted.”
- Systemic Oversight Revealed: “Great job by the Justice Department for prosecuting voter fraud where a non-citizen voted in a federal election. Note that this individual was also previously arrested for first-degree assault and was receiving federal benefits.” DOGE’s scrutiny highlights benefits misuse, sparking a debate on X about eligibility checks, with transparency on doge.gov addressing privacy concerns.
- Crushing Healthcare Fraud: “Great work by the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services. Their newly launched Fraud Detection Operations Center has, in 1 month, suspended payments to 33 providers suspected of fraud, including ‘billing medical equipment for a patient that died 20 years earlier’.” @CMSGov added: “CMS stopped $1.1M in wound care claims by a psychiatrist and $2.2M in unperformed genetic tests, saving taxpayers.” CMS also saved $750M by ending Innovation Center models and $98M by cutting ACA Navigator funds, totaling $851M—protecting the $1.4T Medicare program (CBO, 2025), though some worry about patient access.
- Easing Fiscal Pressure: DOGE spotlighted a ZeroHedge report: “US Treasury Unexpectedly Reports Sharp Drop In Debt Borrowing Needs, Rates Slide.” Read more. The Treasury’s borrowing estimate dropped $53B from February’s forecast, credited to DOGE—easing strain on the $6.75T federal budget (CBO, 2025).

April 29, 2025 – Day 99: A Legacy of Transparency and Accountability
On Day 99, DOGE delivered 3 updates, which you may access on http://www.doge.gov
- Revolutionizing Financial Oversight: “Last week, Treasury went live with its first automated payment verification system. In total, $334 million in improper payment requests were identified and rejected due to: -Missing budget codes -Invalid budget codes (i.e. the payment was not linked to the budget) -Budget codes with no authorization (i.e. the budget had already been fully spent).” DOGE quoted a Feb 17 post: “The Treasury Access Symbol (TAS) is an identification code linking a Treasury payment to a budget line item (standard financial process). In the Federal Government, the TAS field was optional for ~$4.7 Trillion in payments and was often left blank, making traceability almost impossible. As of Saturday, this is now a required field, increasing insight into where money is actually going. Thanks to @USTreasury for the great work.” This system transforms transparency across $4.7T in payments—all part of Elon’s amazing vision.
- Safeguarding Elections: Secretary Kristi Noem stated: “In partnership with @DOGE, @ICEgov arrested two Ukrainian nationals for illegally VOTING in the 2024 election. Under President Donald Trump, if you come to our country and break our laws, you will face the consequences.”
- Eliminating Wasteful Spending: “In the past 3 weeks, the @USDA terminated 420 wasteful grants totaling $2.5B in award value and $2.3B in savings, including: -$150k for ‘gender lensed curricula designed to be transdisciplinary in the food, agriculture, natural resources and human sciences’ -$100k for ‘climate resilience and sustainable agriculture in Ghana’ -$361k for ‘gender non-conforming, non-binary, two-spirit’ BIPOC farmers in New York.” These cuts redirect funds to core agricultural priorities, though some argue they limit diversity and global outreach, but the question is, how much money actually got to the people the grants were intended for?
- Cutting Wasteful Contracts: “Contract update! In the last two days, agencies terminated 179 wasteful contracts with a ceiling value of $1.87B and savings of $280M, including a $1.8M US Trade & Development contract for ‘energy and climate advisory services’, a $207k HHS consulting contract for a ‘grant writing workshop’ and an $89k Treasury contract for a ‘country program manager in Namibia’.”
- Naval Efficiency: Secretary of the Navy John C. Phelan announced: “The Navy is cancelling the obsolete online portal contract for $300 million dollars.” This move streamlines naval operations, saving taxpayers significant funds.

DOGE saves so much

My thoughts: A Defining Moment in History
Week 15, Part 1, with $4,065M saved and $53B in borrowing reduced, marks a historic milestone as Elon’s DC role is slowing to just 2 days a week.
I believe my article series honors Elon’s legacy—I owe him a debt of gratitude – something we can never fully repay. Read on in Part 2 for May 1–2 updates, or visit http://www.doge.gov and share your thoughts on X to be part of this historic movement!
