THE DOGE INTERVIEW: ELON CATCHES FEDS WITH HANDS IN TRILLION-DOLLAR COOKIE JAR

On May 1, 2025, the Department of Government Efficiency sat down with Jesse Watters for a 27-minute interview on X – Watch here exposing jaw-dropping fraud and waste in federal spending. As Elon Musk’s intense DC role will soon slow, this interview captures a critical moment in DOGE’s mission to save $1T by 2026. From untraceable trillions to payments to the Taliban, the DOGE team and Elon reveal just how deep the fraud runs.

Unmasking a $5T Black Hole: DOGE Exposes Untraceable Spending

The DOGE team uncovered $5 trillion in federal spending with no budget code attached, making it impossible to trace. A team member explained (at 14:57), “There is no accounting of what payments actually go to in the payment computer. So like, you look at a specific line item, like $20 million, and you’re like, okay, well, what is this money going to? And for the majority of payment systems, it’s like, well, we don’t really know.”

Taliban Payments and Deleted Records: DOGE’s Shocking Discoveries

The team revealed a $130,000 payment to a former Taliban official and chaos at the U.S. Institute of Peace (at 09:51), where “they had loaded guns inside their headquarters—Institute for Peace.” When DOGE arrived (at 11:53), “the accountant deleted one terabyte of records on the spot,” but the team managed to recover everything!

Just Upload a Receipt: DOGE Halts $4B Education Fraud

At 01:44, the DOGE team shared a simple fix that stopped a $4 billion fraud scheme in the Department of Education: “There was a $4 billion Covid fund in the Department of Education, and there was no receipts required, so people could just draw down on it.” Funds were misused to “rent out Caesar’s Palace for parties, rent out stadiums,” until DOGE enforced simple basic accountability: “Just upload a receipt!”

Dead People and Babies on Payroll: Elon Calls Out Absurd Fraud

Elon Musk highlighted outrageous fraud at 03:41 and 18:17, noting, “Dead people got loans! Millions paid to applicants over 115 years old and literal babies with federal tax dollars.” He added, “The oldest living American is 114. So it’s safe to say, if anybody is in the system as 115 years or older, that is fake,” exposing the absurdity of unchecked spending.

Alpaca Farms or DC Pockets? Elon Reveals Foreign Aid Truth

At 05:27 and 06:45, Musk exposed foreign aid inefficiencies: “Half the foreign aid money never leaves DC—vanishing into ‘management’ pockets instead.” He elaborated, “Even if you agree with supporting alpaca farmers in Peru, most of the money never makes it there. It goes into the pockets of people in D.C. The GAO estimated only 10 to 15 cents on the dollar reaches the recipient. There’s layer after layer of stealing—like peeling an onion.”

Guns in a Peace Institute: DOGE Uncovers Hidden Weapons

The DOGE team detailed their findings at the U.S. Institute of Peace (at 09:51): “We actually went into the agency and found that they had loaded guns inside their headquarters—Institute for Peace,” contradicting the agency’s mission and raising serious questions about oversight.

Caught in the Act: DOGE Refers Evidence to DOJ

Jesse Watters asked at 11:53, “When you catch them going Hillary style on their computers, do you refer this to the Department of Justice?” The DOGE team responded, “In this case, we did refer the evidence in the accounting example to the FBI and DOJ. And we were proud to do that,” ensuring accountability for the deleted terabyte of records.

Secret Caves and Stone Age Tech: Elon Slams Outdated Systems

Elon Musk criticized government inefficiencies at 14:57 and 18:17, revealing, “Workers spelunking into mountains to manually file retirement paperwork from the 1960s,” and calling the technology “so old dinosaurs would mock it!” These outdated systems highlight the urgent need for modernization DOGE is championing.

Postal Service in Crisis: DOGE Targets $9.5B Annual Loss

At 19:33, the DOGE team addressed the U.S. Postal Service’s $9.5 billion annual loss, exacerbated since 2007: “There was additional regulation that went into place that essentially crippled them and put them down this like not good path where they essentially are stuck in the past, as well as bleeding money left and right.” They will modernize and make it profitable while appreciating postal workers’ dedication.

Allies Within: Government Whistleblowers Aid DOGE’s Mission

The DOGE team (at 24:14) and Elon Musk emphasized internal support: “Every person on our team is supporting agencies from the inside. We’re encountering droves of government employees who are here to serve—not for money, but because they believe in the mission.” Musk added, “I want to thank all the government employees helping reduce waste and fraud—we couldn’t do it without you. I’m not saying all government workers are bad—far from it. There just needs to be a serious effort to fix the system.”

Facing Threats: Elon Speaks on Violent Backlash

Elon Musk shared the personal toll at 14:57: “At these violent protests, people have actively advocated for my death and the death of the people at Doge. I’ve been hanged in effigy many times. They make it very clear,” underscoring the resistance DOGE faces in its mission.

No Pandas, Just Profits: Elon Questions $1B Grants

At 14:57, Musk criticized mismanaged grants: “These grants are always something like ‘save the baby pandas.’ And who wouldn’t want to save the baby pandas? But sometimes there’s not even a show panda—no panda at all. We ask for pictures—nothing. What does a billion dollars get you? Apparently, not even one panda. Just like the Ebola money—it goes straight to Deloitte in D.C.,” exposing how funds are siphoned off.

Incentives Drive Fraud: DOGE Highlights Systemic Flaws

The DOGE team (at 14:57) noted, “There’s no incentive to—if you work in the government. I think the incentives will always decide the outcomes,” explaining how systemic flaws enable fraud. Musk added (at 14:57), “Generally, the fraud starts out small and they try to hide it. But then, year after year, if nobody stops the fraud, it gets more and more brazen. And every year it gets bigger—until they’re literally renting out stadiums, like in the millions, just to run the fraud.”

My thoughts

This interview exposes the depth of federal fraud and waste, starting with untraceable trillions to shocking Taliban payments. This interview also allows us to get to know the DOGE team, They are hardworking and serious people. Some are very young, and I support that. Elon truly knows how to attract great talent. He cares deeply about his teams at all his companies and that includes DOGE. Daily, there are thousands who I know are praying for the protection of the DOGE team and of Elon!
